MixMag is a dance and house music magazine. I like the layout of this front page with the model as the central image. The model is attractive therefore men will look at her through the male gaze (Laura Mulvey theory) and women will want to look like her. The style and layout also represent the busy house and dance music genre. This layout is also from MixMag magazine. Again the layout conotes the dance and house music genre. The layout is also simplistic therefore I will be able to follow it and make it look professional. The colour scheme also represents the genre of magazine. Again this double page spread is from MixMag magazine. I like the style of layout with the image on one side and the text on the other side. I think that although the layout is simplistic I will be able to make it look professional and it will fit in with my genre of magazine. |
