Potential names for my magazine:

URBAN- This potential name for my magazine connotes the idea of the Urban music scene. House and Dance music is my genre of magazine and it can be seen that these genres of music are urban therefore the word urban connotes the genre of music that will be featured in my magazine.

HouseHeads- House heads is the chosen name for my magazine as chosen by my target audience. This name immediately connotes the genre of music being House and Dance and it also reflects the idea tha the House and Dance music has taken over the minds of the reader and turned them into 'House Heads'. As my target audience is a specialist niche target audience I feel that this quirky name will appeal to them.

D.A.N.C.E- This potential name for my magazine also immeditately tells the reader that my genre of magazine is Dance and House music. This quirky bold name would also directly appeal to my niche target audience.

Tune In- This potential name for my magazine is also quirky and would appeal to my target audience. The name connotes the idea of the reader 'tuning in' to the music which is featured in my magazine.

Pulse- This potential name for my magazine is very understated and unique. It represents the pulse of the readers when they listen to dance and house music and also it links to the radio station Pulse FM which plays Dance and House music therefore it uses cross media convergence.

MUSIK- My final potential name of magazine is very quirky using a K instead of a C in  the word music. It connotes the idea that the readers of my magazine are very unique and different this idea is connoted through the different spelling of the word music.

 It is clear from my PowerPoint presentation that the results from my poll resulted in my chosen masthead for my magazine being.

 This was the chosen masthead from my target audience and I gathered this information using a poll as you can see in my PowerPoint. I feel that this masthead connotes my genre of magazine the most out of the 4 other potential masthead ideas. The 'O' of the word 'House' really emphasizes on the genre being House and Dance music. Also the title itself 'House Heads' also connotes the idea that the genre of music has taken over the minds (heads) of the target audience, as my niche target audience will be heavily into the House and Dance music scene.
