Concept of my magazine
The concept of my magazine is to pitch a new innovative House and Dance music magazine. My magazine aims to rival with existing House music magazine 'Mix Mag' published by an American publishing house DMC. However, my magazine will aim to be a more specialist type of magazine featuring only the type of House and Dance music that will directly appeal to my niche target audience. My magazine will be published by the UK publishing house Conde Nast. Conde Nast is a UK publishing house which specialises in the publishing of high end magazines such as 'Vogue' and 'Glamour'. I believe that Conde Nast is a suitable publisher for my magazine as my magazine will have a high end appearance to it with glossy pages although, with a medium to low end price which will appeal to my target audience.
It is clear that the genre of my magazine is Dance and House music. Although these genres of music were not the most popular during my polls I have chosen these genres as my magazine is aimed at a niche target audience and these genres of magazine do not appeal to everyone. However I deliberately wanted my magazine to be a high end niche magazine therefore I have decided that Conde Nast is the best publishing house for my magazine as Conde Nast do not publish any magazine simmilar to my magazine, therefore it will attract a new type of audience.
